Special Vehicles for Sale at Claremorris Motor Auctions

BUYERS : If you intend on buying or bidding on any vehicles that is going through the auction you must firstly register at the office of a bidders number. You must leave a deposit of 250 Euro and you will be given a bidding number which enables you to bid and is used as a deposit if you purchase anything, otherwise your 250 Euro is refunded when you return the bidding number.

When your bidding has been successful and you have purchased a car you must immediately approach the office and receive your docket of receipt for the deposit or if you wish to pay the full amount of the car. A Indemnity (Insurance) Fee of 50 Euro is charged on the sale of each car, this enables us to check the car for H.P.I (Finance), check with the Gardai and Motor Taxation Office that all is current, and check chassis etc.

CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP : When a car is paid for in full the new owner must then give us the name and address of whom the owner of the car will be and the new owner will then have to sign the Tax book /Licensing Cert, which will be sent to Dept of the Environment, Shannon, Co Clare. Only if you are a Garage or a registered dealer with a Garage Code, will you receive the Paperwork, and ownership of the vehicle will be transferred into buyers garage code.

SELLERS : If you intend on selling your car at our auctions we advise people to drop the cars up prior to the auction. Our office is open Mon to Fri 9am to 6pm and Wed all day so during the day or at 6pm on night of auction will leave you with plenty of time. The entry fee for putting a car through the auction is 50 Euro (Per Car Per Night) and if you sell the Sellers Commission is 10% on sale price up to €1000, 7.5% for Sale Price up to €3000 and 5% for Sale Price over €3001 with 21% Vat on the Commission ONLY. The Auction then takes 7 days to check the cars out for Finance, Scrappage, Check Chassis etc. Payments are issued 7 days after the date of sale, or the seller can collect his/her payment at the following weeks auction,  all uncollected payments are posted out on the next day Thursday. We advise all sellers to bring all the paperwork and relevant information concerning the vehicle with them on the night of auction, if any paperwork is missing there will be no payment issued until we receive it in the office.  Please take all removable Radio/Stereo/CD Players, NCT Discs, Tax Discs or personal property from the vehicle before leaving it at the auction.
